About JOVEN - JOVEN was launched in the summer of 1992 through the Benedictine Resource Center in response to the alarming rise of juvenile crime in Bexar County. In 1995 JOVEN spun off from the Benedictines, incorporated as an independent nonprofit community-based organization, with its own 501(C)3 designation from the IRS, and today is recognized on the local, state, and federal levels as an innovative agency approaching the problems and daily issues in our communities with innovative, exciting programs for children of all ages.
